摘要:2016年8月24日,意大利Amatrice地区发生了Mw 6.2的强烈地震,震中位于中阿佩宁山区,尽管震级适中,但由于震源浅和破裂面复杂,导致了严重的地震灾害。本研究基于经验格林函数(EGF)法,利用0.2~2.0 Hz频段的近断层强震数据,反演了Amatrice地震的震源过程,重点分析了高频破裂特征及强地震动的生成机制。研究结果表明,地震破裂主要集中在震源西北约5 km和东南约4 km的浅层区域,最大滑动量为1.5 m,深度为3.5 km,且高频数据表明浅层滑动区域较低频数据更浅,表明高频地震动对浅层滑动更为敏感。通过多组EGF事件组合的敏感性分析,验证了反演结果的稳健性,合成波形与观测数据在0.2~2.0 Hz频段内高度吻合。研究结果对浅层地震动的模拟及抗震设计具有重要的学术和工程意义,特别是为近断层工程结构的抗震设计提供了关键参数。
Abstract: On August 24, 2016, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of Mw 6.2 occurred in the Amatrice region of Italy, with the epicenter located in the central Apennine Mountains. Despite the moderate magnitude, the shallow depth and complex rupture fault led to severe seismic damage. This study employed the Empirical Green's Function (EGF) method to invert the source process of the Amatrice earthquake, utilizing near-fault strong-motion data in the frequency range of 0.2-2.0 Hz. The focus was on analyzing high-frequency rupture characteristics and the mechanisms for generating strong ground motion. The results indicated that the earthquake rupture was primarily concentrated in the shallow regions approximately 5 km to the northwest and 4 km to the southeast of the epicenter, with a maximum slip of 1.5 meters at a depth of 3.5 km. High-frequency data revealed that the shallow slip region was located closer to the surface compared to low-frequency data, indicating that high-frequency ground motion is more sensitive to shallow slip. Sensitivity analysis of multiple EGF event combinations confirmed the robustness of the inversion results, with synthetic waveforms showing a high match with the observed data in the 0.2-2.0 Hz frequency band. The findings have significant academic and engineering implications for simulating shallow ground motion and seismic design, especially providing critical parameters for the seismic design of near-fault engineering structures.
